Non Teaching Position/s

HEC's APPOINTMENT CRITERIA FOR PROFESSORS

• PhD from HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field.
• 15 years teaching/research experience (with at least 8 years post PhD experience in HEC recognized University or a postgraduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. OR
• 10 years post PhD teaching/research experience in a recognized University or a postgraduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization
• 12 research publications (with at least 3 publications in last 5 years) in internationally abstracted journals recognized by the HEC.
  HEC's APPOINTMENT CRITERIA FOR ASSOCIATE PROFESSORS

• PhD in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution.
• 10 years teaching/research experience (with at least 4 years experience at the post-Ph. D level) in HEC recognized University or a postgraduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. OR
• 5 years post PhD teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a postgraduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization
• 8 research publications (with at least 2 publications in last 5 years) in internationally abstracted journals recognized by the HEC.
  HEC's APPOINTMENT CRITERIA FOR ASSISTANT PROFESSORS

• PhD in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution. OR
• Master's degree (foreign) or M. Phil. (Pakistan) in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/ Institution, with 4 years teaching/research experience in a recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.
• High proficiency in English communication and computer usage (word, power point, Excel) essential.
• Research publications in HEC approved journals will be an advantage.
  

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR FACULTY OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
Assistant Professor

• Master's degree in relevant field till 2010. After 2010, 30% should be Ph.D's, after 2012, 60% should be PhDs and by the end of 2015, 100% should be PhDs in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution.
• 2-years teaching/research experience in a recognized institution/university/college OR 2-years professional experience in the relevant field in a national or international organization. Or PhD in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution.
• respectively in HEC/PEC recognized Journals.
  

  Conditions

1. Completed Job Application Form in all respect should reach at Office of Manager Human Resource, Karakoram International University, Gilgit- Baltistan, by 20th September 2010(Deadline).
2. The documents include NIC, verified and attested degrees/Transcripts Certificates from Matriculation to the terminal qualification and domicile certificate.
3. Verifiable Experience Certificates (if any)
4. Only eligible candidates will be invited for Test/Interview. Applicants working in government, semi-government, autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel. Advance copies and CVs via email will not be entertained.
5. The University reserves the right to postpone or cancel appointment against any advertised post without assigning any reason.
6. Preference will be given to the candidates with teaching experience especially at any HEC recognized University.
7. Relaxation in age will be granted as per government rules.
8. Incomplete & late applications will not be entertained.
9. Applications for all posts should be supported with crossed postal order amounting to Rs. 400/- in the name of Registrar, Karakoram International University Gilgit Baltistan.
10. No TA/DA will be paid for test/interview.
