Laptops distributed among 44 KIU students

Laptops have been distributed among 44 students of Karakoram International University main campus Gilgit in the four-phase of Prime Minister National Laptop Scheme for Talented students. The ceremony was held at KIU. The ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah, Dean Social Sciences Dr. Muhammad Ramzan, Registrar Dr. Abdul Hameed Lone, Treasurer Mr. Muhammad Iqbal, other University faculty and management staff and students of different departments who shortlisted for awarding laptop.  Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah, Dean Social Sciences Dr. Muhammad Ramzan, Registrar Dr. Abdul Hameed Lone, Treasurer Mr. Muhammad Iqbal, Provost Dr. Manzoor Ali, Controller Mr. Muhammad Arif, Director IPD Mr. Muhammad Ilyas gave away the laptops to the students. Mr. Noman Butt, the focal person of Laptop scheme has said that the students’ selection was made according to the set standard online process of HEC which is a screening process to select the most talented and consistently good performers in academics, for the award.

Prof. Dr. Attuallah Shah Vice Chancellor addressed to the students and said that the aim of the laptop scheme is to align the students with the needs of the new technological era. The students should thus pay full attention to their studies and research. He urged the students to utilize the laptops for educational and research purposes effectively.
