At the end of winter semester 2015, a grand dinner party was arranged for the faculty and officers at the campus. On this occasion, HEC Review Panel committee for Quality Assurance and Good Governance Prof. Dr. Azam Ali Khawaja, former Vice Chancellor Quaid e Azam University Islamabad and former Managing Director Quality Assurance HEC, Dr. Rafiq Baloch, Director General Quality Assurance Agency HEC, Dr. Muhammad Ismail, Director General Quality Assurance Division HEC and Prof. Dr. Abdul Majeed Cheema, Quality Expert, were also present.

Local singers and artist presented regional songs in Shina, Urdu, Balti, Brushuski. Senior faculty, officers, and staff presented folk dances of Gilgit-Baltistan. The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan on this occasion has said that organizing of Semester End Diner is a good tradition of KIU and the purpose is to appreciate the faculty and management for their dedicated hard work during the semester and to feel out of the strain of doing and into the peace of done.

The Vice Chancellor further emphasized although the University has been able to put the things on right direction through statutory bodies but he said there is still to do a lot in coming days. Prof. Dr. Azam Ali Khawaja, former Vice Chancellor Quaid e Azam University Islamabad and former Managing Director Quality Assurance HEC said in his speech that quality education is improving in Higher Education Institutions and no doubt KIU is one of them.
