Prof.Dr Attullah Shah Vice chancellor KIU present his keynote speech at 5ht International Earth Science Conference organized by NCEG University of Peshawar at Baragali.He presented his talk on “Review of natural disasters at north reach of CPEC. The conference was held on Aug 11-12. Chairman Pakistan Atomic Energy commission was chief guest at the occasion. In his paper, Dr Attullah Shah presented an overview of natural disasters along CPEC including Earth quakes, landslides, Floods, Glacial Lake outburst flow glof and flash floods.

He presented the inventory of 5000 glaciers and 35 most dangerous lakes where glof can be an imminent threat. The conference was attended by international delegates from China, Academy of sciences china, Malaysia, Oman and than 75 national delegates. The Earth Science conference is being held regularly from 2010 with an interval of 2 years.
