Delegation of National Institute of Laser and Optonics called upon Vice Chancellor KIU

A delegation of National Institute of Laser and Optonics (NILOP) headed by Dr. Nighat Yasmeen met the Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah Vice Chancellor KIU to discuss the potential joint research and collaboration between two institutions. HoD Physics Department Dr. Manzoor Ali was also present at the occasion. Vice Chancellor proposed that under the MS Physics program being started from Spring 2019, the research projects preferably keep the relevance to local conditions and geographic settings, which eventually help to address local challenges of GB. The research labs of NILOP and National Centre of Physics NCP QAU can provide great research opportunities to the graduate students. Director and her team generously agreed to provide support and offered the utilization of NILOP labs for research purpose and Faculty can also facilitate in assisting research in the areas of nano technology, Material Science, Rare Earth, Food processing and Environmental pollution, etc.  VC KIU invited the NILOP team to KIU, who can share the information and knowledge about new trends and developments in Laser and Optonics at KIU. NILOP and KIU also agreed to sign an MoU.
