Faculty members from Karakoram International University (KIU), Pakistan, made a significant mark at the International Conference on Green Sustainable Technology and Management (ICGSTM 2025) held at INTI International University, Malaysia. The conference brought together experts from across the globe to promote the UN Sustainable Development Goals through innovation in engineering, IT, health, education, business, and management.

Dr. Iftikhar Ali, Dr. Samina Mumtaz, and Dr. Effat Sitara were invited as speakers, representing KIU.

Dr. Iftikhar Ali presented research on the potential of phytochemicals derived from local resources in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Dr. Samina Mumtaz presented her research on the ecological health status of lakes in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Dr. Effat Sitara showcased the use of innovative nanomaterials for energy and sustainability.

Their impactful presentations sparked meaningful dialogue on local knowledge integration, green technologies, and sustainable policies, positioning KIU as a thought leader in sustainable development.

The KIU team also held discussions with pro-Vice Chancellors of INTI University, paving the way for academic collaboration, student exchange programs, and joint research initiatives. The next student exchange batch is expected to visit INTI University for one semester in the near future.

Additionally, Dr. Ishtiaq Hussain participated online and shared his research, further contributing to the international engagement of KIU faculty.
