Vice Chancellor KIU Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah along with Treasurer KIU Mr. Muhammad Iqbal had detailed meetings with Planning and Development Department of Higher Education Commission and discussed the revised scope of developmental work at Sub Campuses Hunza, Ghizer, and Diamer based on actual requirements. They were also assured that classes in Ghizer and Diamer will be started within 3-4 weeks.

The selection process for new Faculty and Administrative Staff was also discussed in the meeting.  HEC appreciated the active follow up by KIU team.

Later VC also visited Pakistan Engineering Council and had detailed discussion with Add. Registrar Accreditation Dr. Nasir Mehmood Khan and Deputy Registrar Engr. Ausaf Mahmood. They were informed that classes of BS Mining Engineering will be started in Fall 2018 after the visit of PEC.

The possibility of launching B.S. Civil Engineering in 2019 was also discussed with the officials during the meeting. PEC assured full cooperation and support in initiating Quality Engineering Education at GB.
