A delegation from the Safe Blood Transfusion Programme (SBTP), Ministry of National Health Services, Islamabad met Prof. Muhammad Ramzan, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Karakoram International University. The SBTP delegation comprised of Prof. Hasan Abbas Zaheer, National Coordinator, Dr. Usman Waheed, Technical Expert and Dr. Abdul Latif, Project Director SBTP, Gilgit Baltistan.

Prof. Ramzan welcomed the delegates and introduced the KIU and its various academic programmes. He also briefed about the history of KIU. Prof. Ramzan took the delegation and visited different departments of the University especially the Biosciences department. Prof. Zaheer expressed his appreciation for advanced laboratories in the bioscience department and offered the services of Regional Blood Centres for internships of biosciences students.
