Secretary Information, Govt of Gilgit Baltistan Mr. Fida Hussain visited ‘Film Making Workshop’ at Media and Communication Studies, Karakoram International University Gilgit. Deputy Director Information Mr. Farooq Ahmed was also accompanying him. The four, low budget short films were introduced by the talented up-coming directors of Film Making Workshop.

Secretary Information while speaking to participants of Workshop said,” I am amazed by the great job of these young media scholars, who in spite of limited resources have excelled in media production”.

Initially, Resource person of Film Making Workshop, Mr. Nisar Ahmed deliberated about objectives and possible outcomes of the workshop. Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Muhammad Ramzan said that University has initiated many short courses and workshop for capacity building of students and this Workshop will be a milestone for media professionals who are eager to make a career in Media industry.

Humanities, Department of Businesses Management, Dr. Ifzal Ahmed, Coordinator Department of Media and Communication Studies Mr. the Station Manager Radio Pakistan, Mr. Ahmer Sohail and Film Making Coordinator Mr. Shams Resource person Rehman Rumi among others. Secretary Information also visited Media Studio and also pledged to enhance cooperation with the Department of Media and Communication Studies for capacity building of faculty and Students.
