The Worthy Vice Chancellor KIU attended 9th meeting of National Technology Council (NTC) at HEC Islamabad which was chaired by Chair NTC Engr. Imtiaz Gilani. In the inaugural speech, the newly appointed Chair HEC welcome the members and appreciated their role in streamlining the Technology Education and practice. He emphasized over the importance of both streams of Engineers and Technology for the national development. Later important agenda points were discussed. Vice Chancellor KIU shared with the council that KIU is endaevoring to promote Engineering and Tech education in GB . In this context Faculty of Engineering and Trchnoelogy is being established at the cost of Rs. 1300 Million where State of the Art infrastructure and Labs are being setup. Currently Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering Tech. KIU has also planned to initiate BS Elec Engineering Tech Program with focus on Renewable and Hydropower Engineering.
