A Workshop on Plagiarism Policy was conducted by Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) KIU on 26th May 2017 at Conference Room. Almost 40 researchers, faculty members including HoDs from all KIU campuses i.e. Main Campus, Skardu Campus and Hunza Campus attended the workshop. The workshop objective was to provide a forum for the faculty members to discuss issues related to plagiarism.
The resource person of the workshop Mr. Muneer Ahmad, Deputy Director, Q.A D. HEC delivered the lecture on HEC plagiarism policy and also provided a comprehensive training on the use of “Turnitin” software that is been provided by HEC to all public as well as private institutes for the identification of plagiarized content. Mir. Tazeem Akhtar, Director QEC briefed the workshop and paid thanks to HEC especially Mr. Muneer Ahmad who provided the opportunity to KIU faculty/staff to learn more about plagiarism. On the end of the workshop, Dean Life Sciences Prof. Dr. Arif un Nisa Naqvi distributed shields among participants of the workshop.
