Applications are invited from potential candidates for the positions of Lecturers, Assistant Professors and Professors to be appointed on contract/BPS/TTS. General terms and conditions/ eligibility criteria are as under:

| 1 | Professor | Qualification: Ph.D. from HEC Recognized institution in relevant field. Experience: 15-Years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized university or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or International organization OR 10-Years post-Ph.D teaching/ research experience in a recognized university or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. Minimum Number of Publications: The applicant must have 15 Research Publications with at least 5-Publications in the last 5-Years in HEC recognized journals. |
| 2 | Associate Professor | Qualification: Ph.D. from HEC Recognized institution in relevant field. Experience: 10-Years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized university or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a national or International organization OR 5-Years post-Ph.D teaching/ research experience in a recognized university or a post-graduate institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization. Minimum Number of Publications: The applicant must have 10 Research Publications with at least 4-Publications in the last 5-Years in HEC recognized journals. |
| 3 | Assistant Professors | Qualification: Ph.D. from HEC Recognized institution in relevant field. Experience: Nill Minimum Number of Publications: Nill |
| 4 | Lecturers | Qualification: First class MS/M.Phil/equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education in the relevant field from an HEC recognized university/institution with no 3rd division in the academic career. The condition of no 3rd division shall not be applicable in the qualification of appointment as Lecturer in Universities or Degree Awarding Institutions provided that the candidate holds a higher degree viz Ph.D. or equivalent degree with not more than one 3rd division in the entire academic career. Conditions
- Higher salaries may be considered in case of better qualifications/experiences if recommended by the Selection Board and approved by the KIU Senate.
- Complete Applications on prescribed form download here along with attested copies of Educational Certificates/Degrees (with attestation/equivalence from HEC), CNIC, Domicile Certificate, Recent Passport size photograph, and Experience Certificates should reach the office of HR Manager, Karakoram International University, Gilgit, on or before January 21, 2019
- Applications must be accompanied with pay order/demand draft (nonrefundable) of Rs.1000/- drawn in favor of the Registrar, Karakoram International University.
- Persons serving in Government Sector may apply on deputation or as fresh applicants through proper channel.
- TTS faculty who intends to apply for Higher Academic Positions can apply as TTS Statutes through proper channel with due fulfillment of procedures.
