Acting Vice Chancellor of Karakoram International University (KIU), Prof. Dr. Abdul Razaq, participated in an important online meeting with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan to review progress on the proposed KIU Ski Academy.

According to the KIU Public Relations Office, the meeting was attended by relevant HEC officials along with senior university representatives. Participants held detailed discussions on the establishment of the KIU Ski Academy, its objectives, implementation strategy, and future roadmap.

Speaking during the meeting, Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Razaq said that the establishment of the Ski Academy would play a significant role in promoting winter sports and tourism in Gilgit-Baltistan while providing youth with access to training facilities that meet international standards. He appreciated HEC's continued support and reaffirmed KIU's commitment to ensuring the timely implementation of the project.

HEC officials commended the university's efforts and assured KIU of their full cooperation in advancing the initiative.

Earlier, the Acting Vice Chancellor also chaired a separate meeting on university hostels, where participants discussed measures to modernize hostel facilities and improve accommodation services in line with contemporary standards.
