Karakoram International University (KIU) organized an orientation session for newly admitted students of the School of Computing & Emerging Technologies for the Fall Semester 2025. According to KIU’s Public Relations Office, the session aimed to familiarize students with university rules and regulations, the Learning Management System (LMS), and the facilities available to them.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, alongside senior administrative and academic officials. Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah, Vice Chancellor of KIU, graced the occasion as chief guest.
Addressing the session, Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah encouraged students to pursue higher education and research while spreading the values of brotherhood, compassion, and harmony. He urged them to dream big, work tirelessly to achieve their goals, and maintain faith in themselves and in Allah. He also reminded students to respect university regulations, make full use of available resources, and focus on positive and productive activities.
Highlighting the importance of global competitiveness, the Vice Chancellor said that in today’s “global village,” students must continuously enhance their skills to meet modern demands. He reaffirmed KIU’s commitment to quality education and research and emphasized that students should actively pursue knowledge while contributing positively to society.
Earlier, the session also featured addresses by Dr. Sajjad Ali (Director Academic Planning & Review), Dr. Sabit Rahim (Director, School of Computing & Emerging Technologies), and other senior faculty members who shared guidance and insights with the students.
