The 50th meeting of VCs Cimmuttee was held at HEC which was chaired by Chairman HEC Prof. Dr.Niaz Ahmad and ED HEC Prof. Dr. Zuaulhaq, which was attended by about 200 VCs virtually and physically. In his welcome speech Chair HEC highlighted the challenges faced by higher education sector and showed his keen resolve to collectively address these challenges with the support of Federal and Provincial Governments. ED HEC Dr.Zia highlighted the new initiatives of HEC including dual degree, split degree and joint degree programs. He also explained the salient features of online degree attestation and faculty development programs.

In his speech about the challenges of mountain universities of AJK & GB, VC KIU Prof. Dr.Attaullah Shah highlightef the Finanicial challenges, stagnation of faculty growth opprtunities, Strengthening of physical and Technology infrastructure, representation of the region in HEC Commission and Desk reviews of NRPU projects. Later the online degree attestation portal was inaugurated by the Chair, ED HEC, VCs reps from various regions. The best teacher and besr researcher awards were also distributed. At the end certificates of NRPU grants were awarded to the faculty of various universities. VCs appreciated the rigors of the new Chair and 3D HEC for their transforming roles in reshaping the hugher education sector of Pakistan and showed their strong resolve to help HEC in this passion. Chairman VCs Committee Zahoor Bazai while addressing the house online, emphasised over the growing finanical, administrative and autonomy related challenges of Univ and requested Chair and ED HEC for their pivotal roles in resolving these challenges. He assured them active support of all VCs in this context.
