Vice Chancellor KIU Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah met with Chairman HEC Prof. Tariq Banuri and discussed academic and non academic developments at KIU. VC KIU also invited him at the International Conference at Hunza and 9th Convocation of KIU to be held in June/July. VC shared with Chairman HEC the latest academic and research initiatives at KIU including starting of new academic programs and Graduate Schools, Establishment of Faculty of Engineering, initiating the campuses at Hunza, Diamer and Ghizer. He also discussed the financial challenges of KIU and planning to meet these. Chairman HEC appreciated the role of KIU in the region which has created an affordable and accessible higher education Opportunities for the remote areas of GB. He emphasized that KIU must capitalize on its unique location to attract students from China, Central Asia, Afghanistan and Iran. He also appreciated the better teamwork of KIU under the leadership of Vice Chancellor, which has created visible improvement. Later VC also met DG P&D Dr. Mazhar Saeed, who informed that two schemes of KIU namely Sport Gymnasium, Boys hostel and KIU women Campus has been included in the PSDP 2019-20.
