Dr. Sabit Rahim is a distinguished academic and researcher from Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, with significant contributions to computer science and education, particularly in rural and mountainous regions. Dr. Rahim earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology Beijing, China, in 2013. He also holds an MS in Information Technology Engineering from Hamdard University, Karachi, completed in 2009. His academic journey is marked by a commitment to integrating technology into education to bridge the digital divide in underdeveloped areas. Dr. Rahim serves as an associate professor and chairperson in the Department of Computer Science. He has also held the position of Focal Person/Director at KIU's Ghizer Campus, where he played a pivotal role in expanding educational access in remote regions. Dr. Rahim was awarded the Chancellor Scholarship by the University of Science and Technology Beijing, China, from 2010 to 2013, recognizing his academic excellence and research potential.
