Physics Department at KIU was established in spring 2007. From the very beginning, education in physics at KIU was meant to be the union of the experimental and theoretical physics. The department of Physics endeavors to impart a thorough knowledge of the fundamental principles of the several branches of physics.
At the moment, Environmental Radioactivity, Astronomy, and High Energy Physics are main disciplines. In order to uphold the high standards of teaching and learning, the department strives to attract researchers and teachers of high caliber and international repute. The department is open to integrate new disciplines with the addition of new researchers. The department has established links with national universities and RND organizations where our faculty and students can access for training and research. This year faculty has published 21 papers in Nationals and International peer review Journals.
