Contract positions of Lab Engineers/ Coordinators Equivalent to BPS-17 on Lump Sum package for Civil and Electrical Engineering Labs of KIU
Karakoram international University invites applications from suitable candidates for the following contract positions:
1: Coordinator/ Lab Engineer (Department of Electrical Engineering Technology) =01 No.
Department Electrical Engineering Technology at Karakoram International University, Gilgit is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join department as a Lab Engineer/coordinator (purely on contract basis). The candidate must have a MS degree in Energy or related experience in renewable energy. Experience in hydro power project, quality control and program coordination experience will be preferred.
This nature of job is temporary position and to be appointed on pure contract position. The selected candidates will have no right to claim for conversion into a regular appointment.
Eligibility:
Bachelor degree in Engineering discipline. MS degree in any relevant field with practical experience in renewable energy and exposure to curriculum development will be preferred.
Responsibilities:
To supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the electrical engineering department and laboratory.
To organize and maintain departmental activities and laboratory equipment and supplies.
To assist faculty members with OBE and lab experiments, research projects, and class demonstrations.
To develop and improve departmental curriculum and laboratory manuals and procedures.
To facilitate the electrical engineering technology related labs.
The primary responsibility would be to conduct projects, maintain equipment, operate lab machines, and any other support or service requested by the department.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver lab content and conduct and assess lab experiments and exams as per the course requirement.
- Upkeep, procurement, design, and development of lab equipment/modules as required.
- Operation, maintenance, and inventory management of laboratory equipment and consumables.
- Help in installation and calibration/ quality check of new equipment.
- Help research students in setting up their experimental work.
- Should understand and implement the safety protocols in these labs.
- Prepare the technical specifications including the selection and sizing of lab equipment as required during lab set up and upgradation process.
2: Lab Engineer (Department of Civil Engineering Technology) = 02 Nos.
Department Civil Engineering Technology at Karakoram International University, Gilgit is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join department as a Lab Engineer (purely on contract basis). The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, PEC accredited with the code of Civil, and MS degree in Civil Engineering in one of the following fields: Structural, Transportation, Water Resource, Geotechnical, Hydraulics, and Surveying.
This nature of job is temporary position and to be appointed on pure contract position. The selected candidates will have no right to claim for conversion into a regular appointment.
Eligibility:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, PEC accredited code with Civil.
MS degree in Civil Engineering in one of the following fields: Structural, Transportation, Water Resource, Geotechnical, Hydraulics, and Surveying will be preferred.
Experience: Nil.
