Deputy Director (BPS-18) on Contract Position Vacant at Main Campus

Applications for the position of Deputy Director (BPS-18) on contract are invited from highly motivated candidates to work at Quality Enhancement Cell Affiliated Colleges (QECACs) at QEC, KIU main campus. The detail of the post is as below:

Position Deputy Director (BPS–18) - (01 Post) Contract
Duration 6 months from the date of appointment but may be extended for another six months based on performance
Pay Admissible as per rules  
Qualification

Must have 18 years’ education (level 07) or above from a University or Institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

Minimum Experience required for Deputy Director:
At least seven (07) years of relevant experience of QA/QEC at any HEC-recognized university. Preference will be given to candidates having maximum experience in QEC/QAA.
Required Skills of the Deputy Director:
  1. Must have a clear vision and depth of knowledge in the field of Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
  2. Managerial Skills
  3. Strong analytical and writing skills
  4. Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Management
  5. Good Command and knowledge of MS Office and Analysis tools
Role and Responsibilities of the Deputy Director:
  1. In consultation with each College Principal, get nominations for a focal person or a change team at each AC.
  2. To implement quality assurance mechanisms at ACs, per HEC/QAA guidelines and monitoring over all activities and provide overall leadership to the proper functioning of the QECACs.
  3. To develop quality assurance processes and methods of evaluation to affirm that the quality of provision and the standard of awards are being maintained and to foster curriculum, subject, and staff development, together with research and other scholarly activities.
  4. Improve academic programs and management including updating and timely completion of curriculum, courses, and academic session in the colleges.
  5. Share important updates regarding affiliating colleges and HEC policies with each focal person or a change team and College Principal in each AC.
  6. To review of quality standards, quality of teaching and learning in each subject area.
  7. Complete execution of Self-Assessment Cycle and HEC Yearly Progress Report (YPR).
  8. Coordination and conduction Institution Performance Evaluation and University portfolio report.
  9. Facilitating in accreditations of programs during visits.
  10. Complete execution of all HEC surveys.
  11. To develop procedures for Annual monitoring, evaluation, Program Monitoring, Faculty monitoring, Departmental Review, Students Feedbacks, Quality Assurance of BS and Associate degree programs, Subject review, approval of new programs, Qualification framework.
  12. Submit annual report, along with effective measures and implementation plan for improvement, and periodic reports to the Principal of the Colleges.
  13. Assist each AC with the adoption of quality assurance mechanisms.
  14. Through the Director QEC, submit periodic reports of the QECACs unit to the HEC.
  15. Any other task assigned by Director QEC.

    • The selection for the Deputy Director position will be made based on the project requirement, past academic record, experience as well as the performance in the interview.
