Situation Vacant (Treasurer, Controller of Examinations and Registrar)

Karakoram International University is a Public Sector University in Gilgit-Baltistan, established under the Federal Government Order 2002. The President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan is the Chancellor of the University.   Applications are invited for appointment of the following positions for KIU Main Campus, Gilgit.

Treasurer
 BPS-20 or equivalent 3 years annually renewable term, extendable to one further term subject to performance and approval by KIU Senate Preferably 55 years or below. In case of better qualification, experience and skills in financial technology, age limit may be relaxed in recommended by Selection Board and approved by the KIU Senate Ph.D. (Finance/Business Administration in Finance)/any relevant discipline, Chartered Accountant/ACMA with 10 years’ experience in financial management (audit, finance, planning, accounts) in government/semi government/autonomous bodies of national/international financial institutions of repute. OR M.Phil/MS (Finance/Business Administration in Finance/Economics) with 12 years’ experience in financial management (audit, finance, planning, and accounts) in government/semi government/autonomous bodies or national/international financial institutions of repute. OR First Class MBA (Finance)/MA/BS (16 years Education) in Economics with 15 years’ experience in financial management (audit, finance planning, accounts) in government/semi government/autonomous bodies or national/International financial institutions of repute. Demonstrable skills in Financial Technology [Accounting Software] will be essential.

Controller of Examinations
 BPS-20 or equivalent 3 years annually renewable term, extendable to one further term subject to performance and approval by KIU Senate. 55 years or below. PhD or MPhil/MS (18 years’ education) or First Class MA/MSc/BS (16 years’ education) with 10 years (if PhD), 12 years (if MPhil/MS)                       OR   15 years (If BS/MA/MSc) academic/management experience in a public/private sector higher education institution or national/international institutions of repute.   The applicant must have good understanding of examinations from Secondary to University level, especially in terms of curricula, syllabi, paper setting and assessments both in semester as well as annual systems.

Registrar
 BPS-20 or equivalent   3 years annually renewable term, extendable to one further term subject to performance and approval by KIU Senate 55 years or below.
Required Disciplines of Education:
Education Development/Education/Public administration (Human Resource Management/Service Management/Strategic Management) or any relevant discipline
Required experience:
Academic/Management experience in a public/private sector Higher Educational Institution (HEI) or national/international institution of repute.
Required length of experience
For Ph. D:10 Years For MS/M.Phil. (18 years of education): 12 years Masters (16 years of education): 15 years  

Conditions

    1. Filled Application Form (Form available on KIU website) along with attested copies of Educational Certificates, Mark Sheet, HEC Equivalence Certificate (in case of Foreign Degree), CNIC, Domicile, Recent 2 Passport Size Photographs and Experience Certificates should be submitted to Director HR, University Road, Karakoram International University Gilgit, Gilgit-Baltistan.
    2. Application must be accompanied with Pay Order/Demand Draft (Non-Refundable) of Rs. 3,000/- in favor of Karakoram International University, Gilgit.
    3. Persons serving in Government Sector may apply on deputation or as fresh applicant through proper channel.
    4. Incomplete or late applications shall not be entertained.
    5. Only shortlisted candidates shall be called for interview.
    6. No TA/DA will be paid for Interview.
    7. The University reserves the right to postpone or cancel appointment without assigning any reason.
