Under PM Laptop Scheme for Talented students, 100 Laptops have been distributed among KIU students at main campus Gilgit in the phase 5th. The ceremony was held at Musharraf hall KIU. Chief Guest of the ceremony was Commissioner Gilgit Division Mr. Wali Khan while the ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah, Dean Social Sciences Dr. Muhammad Ramzan, Registrar Dr. Abdul Hameed Lone, Treasurer Mr. Muhammad Iqbal, Acting DGC Mir. Tazeem Akhtar, Provost Dr. Manzoor Ali, Director IPD Mr. Ilyas, other University faculty and management staff and students of different departments who shortlisted for awarding laptop. Mr. Noman Butt, the focal person of Laptop scheme has said that the laptops were awarded for students according to the prescribed standard online process of HEC which is a screening process to select the most talented and consistently good performers in academics, for the award.
