34^th meeting of KIU Syndicate held at the campus. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah presided over the meeting. The budget of the financial year of 2018-19, up gradation and promotion policy for the employees, Establishment of  KIU Endowment Fund, KIU Employees Welfare Fund, Research remuneration, Hardships cases etc were approved in the meeting. Vice Chancellor showed his commitment that through better teamwork, consistent efforts and commitment the objectives of high quality, cutting-edge research, Quality Engineering education and State of the Art physical and IT infrastructure will be achieved. Vice Chancellor assured that committed and hardworking staff will be given more benefits in the promotion and up gradation. He said that besides seniority, the performance of individuals will also be considered in the promotion. An accountability system is being deployed to give opportunities to deserving employees. He also emphasized that KIU will diversify its revenue by bringing new programs and projects and strengthening the professional and skilled development Programs at IPD and other departments. He also stressed on adopting austerity measures to control operating expenditures to make KIU self-reliant.
