A high-level delegation from the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) visited Karakoram International University (KIU) for a comprehensive zero visit to assess the BS Civil Engineering Program, its infrastructure, and academic standards.
The delegation met with Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah, Vice Chancellor KIU, along with senior officials, faculty, and administrative staff. The Vice Chancellor briefed the team on KIU’s academic progress, research initiatives, and its commitment to producing skilled civil engineers aligned with global standards. He also highlighted plans to upgrade engineering labs and enhance collaboration with industry.

Following the meeting, the PEC team toured the Department of Civil Engineering, inspecting state-of-the-art labs, smart classrooms, library facilities, and student support services. They engaged with faculty members and reviewed the curriculum, teaching methodologies, and hands-on training for students.
The PEC team appreciated the quality of facilities and emphasized that KIU provides a conducive environment for technical and professional growth. This visit reinforces KIU’s dedication to meeting PEC standards and continuously improving the quality of engineering education.
KIU reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with PEC to produce skilled engineers contributing to national development.
