
A one-day training workshop on Resume Writing and Interview Skills was organized at Karakoram International University (KIU) in collaboration with the Pakistan Education Foundation (PEF). According to KIU’s Public Relations Department, the workshop aimed to equip students with essential soft skills to pursue job opportunities and meet professional challenges effectively.
The opening ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor of KIU, Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah, Mr. Sameer Imtiaz, Manager PEFAA, Mr. Jawaid Faruqui, COO PEF, and training expert Mr. Sohail Siddiqui, along with senior university officials and a large number of students.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of soft skills, stating that a degree alone is not sufficient for success in today’s competitive job market. He highlighted that effective communication, resume writing, and interview techniques are essential for career advancement and overcoming professional hurdles.
During the training sessions, expert facilitators provided practical guidance on crafting impactful resumes and mastering job interview techniques. Students actively participated in the sessions and benefited from the opportunity to enhance their employability skills.
At the closing ceremony, certificates were distributed among the participants. The PEF representatives reaffirmed their commitment to continuing such initiatives to empower youth for success in the professional world.
