Business Incubation Center KIU organized an award ceremony for the winners of the first-ever business plan competition in KIU. The business idea competition was held back in Oct 2016. It was open for all the students enrolled at the time in the university. Before the competition, to create awareness among the masses about the culture of entrepreneurship and the competition pamphlets were issued and through social media the competition was advertised. Many business plans were received and after deep study of the plans submitted by the students, the best 10 plans were declared as the selected startups. Of the 10 plans, there were 2 winning plans of the event who were awarded the cash prize of Rs 15,000/each and shields. Rests of the plans were also awarded the cash prize of Rs 10,000/each and shields.

The selected plans were given opportunity by BIC for incubation and provided them with free office space, facilitated them to develop market linkages, contacts to the financial institutions and above all; the required skills before they enter the market for execution. Thus the incubates are now in a position to enter the market for their execution.
