Dr. Arshad Ali, Executive Director Higher Education Commission visited Karakoram International University on Friday. He was received by Vice Chancellor, Karakoram International University, Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah and other faculty members upon his arrival.

Later on while addressing the interactive session held at Conference Hall, Faculty of Education, Executive Director Dr. Arshad Ali, applauded Karakoram International University strengths and achievements for its active role in increasing equitable access to quality education and promoting research activities that will ultimately benefit the community. He said HEC is taking effective measures to promote higher education in Gilgit-Baltistan and strengthen Karakoram International University to meet the challenges of future. He also emphasized faculty members to focus on research dedicated to the development of sustainable society.

Vice Chancellor Karakoram International University, Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah shared the university’s initiatives on capacity building, multi-level education along with skill development. He further said that Karakoram International University has successfully launched its three sub-campuses and soon Civil Engineering and Software Engineering programs will be introduced. He also appreciated HEC of its outstanding services and good governance system for development of higher education in Pakistan.
