KIU and UoCA initiates joint venture in the field of Faculty Development

University of Central Asia (UoCA) and KIU will work together in the areas of Faculty Development, Professional & Skill Development programs, mountain focused research and faculty & student exchange. This was discussed in meeting between Vice Chancellor KIU Prof. Dr. Attuallah Shah and Chairman Board of Trustees UoCA Mr. Kasim Shams Lakha at Islamabad. Chairperson Senate KIU Madam Khawar Mumtaz joined over audio call. It was resolved that the skill development program will be further strengthened in GB by imparting more autonomy to IPD and collaboration with School of Continuous Professional Development at UoCA. The institute of Mountain Research at UoCA and IMARC will be geared to work on mountain focused research jointly and also applying for international funding. Both the institutions will work out the internship program for selected best students for mutual exchange for one semester. Similarly, 3-4 teachers will be exchanged every year to learn from mutual experience. Mr. Lakha also informed that Agha Khan University will also assist KIU in improving QEC.
