Karakoram International University (KIU) continues to take strong steps toward promoting skill-based education and women’s empowerment. Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Attaullah Shah chaired a key review meeting on the Women Skills Development Project, where senior university officials discussed strategies to expand the program’s reach and align training modules with evolving market needs.

The Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of equipping women with practical skills to enhance their role in the socio-economic development of the region. The meeting concluded with a commitment to introduce innovative, demand-driven training opportunities for women across Gilgit-Baltistan.

Additionally, a detailed session was held to finalize preparations for launching the BS Nursing program at KIU. The initiative aims to address the growing demand for qualified healthcare professionals in the region and reflects the university’s dedication to both academic excellence and community service.
