Vice Chancellor KIU Prof. Dr Atta ullah Shah had a detailed meeting with Chairperson KIU Senate Madam Khawar Mumtaz to discuss various financial and academic issues of KIU. VC highlighted the present financial challenges of KIU including budgetary cut by HEC to the tune of Rs 45 Million, Rs.50 Million due to shifting of External Exam and Rs. 52 Million due to stopping of Fee Reimbursement of Master and MS students. He also informed that GB government has sanctioned Rs.30 Million as one-time Grant for KIU. At the same time case has been taken with Prime Minister’s office for restoration of fee reimbursement scheme. VC KIU shared the latest academic and research developments with Chairperson KIU Senate as well as the austerity measures adopted by KIU. Madam Khawar Mumtaz assured him all kinds of support from KIU Senate to promote higher education and research in the region.
