
Member of Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly and President of Pakistan Peoples Party GB, Amjad Hussain Advocate, met with Vice Chancellor of Karakoram International University (KIU), Prof. Dr. Atta Ullah Shah, to discuss the financial challenges faced by the university and explore possible solutions.
According to KIU’s Public Relations Department, the meeting focused on sustainable ways forward, including the transfer of endowment funds and collaborative research projects with the provincial government to address regional development needs. Dr. Sajjad Ali, Director Academics, and Dr. Syed Arif Hussain, Advisor to the Vice Chancellor, also participated in the meeting.
Amjad Hussain Advocate assured support and coordination with both federal and provincial governments to help address KIU’s financial needs. He acknowledged the vital role that academic institutions like KIU play in the growth and progress of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Atta Ullah Shah expressed gratitude for the continued support and reaffirmed KIU’s commitment to enhancing academic and research standards in the region.
