KIU Ghezir campus has successfully initiated the plantation campaign under the program of clean and green Pakistan movement at Ghezir campus. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah planted a tree at campus. Dean Life Sciences Dr. Khalil Ahmed, Director Campus Dr. Sabit Rahim, faculty, staff and students were present on the occasion. Vice Chancellor visited AKES D.J School Damas, AKHSS Gahkuch, Boys High school Gahkuch and Girls High school Gahkuch and planted tree in each school. On the occasion, VC said that KIU is giving one plant to students and faculty of each affiliated school and college of KIU. In each school and college KIU will identify a focal person, who will maintain log of these plants. Every six months we will check the retention of these plants and best school and college awards shall be given. This whole program will be monitored by Forest Department. Governor GB Raja Jalal Maqpoon will inaugurate this drive at KIU soon. The drive is pushed with support of Forest Department GB.
