The Swedish Ambassador to Pakistan Her Excellency Ingrid Johnson visited Hunza campus on April 18, 2019. Director Campus Mr. Rehmat Karim received her Excellency upon her arriving at campus. The Vice Chancellor KIU Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah also joined the ceremony. A short ceremony was held on theme “Pakistani Papas”. The ceremony was formally started with the recitation of some verses from Holly Qurran. Director campus Mr. Rehmat Karim in his speech formally welcomed her Excellency and Vice Chancellor to the campus. Vice Chancellor in his speech also welcomed Her Excellency’s visit to campus. The Vice Chancellor in his speech highlighted the progress of campus and also he highlighted the role of fathers in breeding and grooming of children. The Vice Chancellor shared his own experience as father to the audience.

Her Excellency the Swedish Ambassador in her speech praised the establishment of campus at Hunza, She was happy to visit a University campus at Hunza. She also highlighted the role of fathers. Ms. Afshan Jabeen student of Development Studies shared her father’s role in her grooming and supporting till now. Ms. Iram Shaista visiting lecturer in the department of Development Studies also shared her own experience with the audiences. Ms. Zarina Baig visiting lecturer in the department of Biological Science was the stage secretary of the ceremony.

After the ceremony the dignitaries visited the photo exhibition on the theme “Pakistani Papas” arranged by the Swedish Embassy Islamabad.
