The world food day was celebrated at the Department of Agriculture and Food Technology, KIU. Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah Vice Chancellor KIU was the chief guest of the event whereas all Deans, Directors, HoDs, Faculty, staff and students were accompanied with the Vice Chancellor. The food day ceremony held at Musharraf hall followed by a rally by the students of Agriculture and Food Techonology. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah and other senior faculty and staff participated in the rally. Addressing to the ceremony Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Attaullah Shah said that world is unjustifiably divided for acquiring food. Some people get food more than their needs whereas majority of the people couldn’t approach to receive food to just sustain life and resultantly suffering from hunger and malnourished. The Vice Chancellor praised the arrangements of the events and agreed that more attention should be paid on agriculture sector for food security and safety. Dean Life Sciences Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed, HoD AFT Dr. Mir Nasir Qayyum, Director Academics Dr. Sartaj Ali, and others also speak to the ceremony. Vice Chancellor and his team visited food stalls on the occasion.
