VC KIU visited Shangyo City Zhejiang to inspect the Civil Engineering equipment for labs at KIU. The equipment is procured from Zhenjiang Turong equipment as per the international standards. VC KIU, while appreciating the quality assurance process gave suggestions for improvement of the standards. KIU is establishing State of the Art Labs for Civil Mining and electrical Engineering & Technology Labs at Engineering and Technology Department. This is a first ever initiative and VC KIU has led from the front to establish this unique campus in the region.

The project though suffered from many obstructions like site issues and resistance of some of the locals, but with continuous resilience and teamwork, the campus could establish and today more than 200 students are pursuing their education. This campus will provide opportunities for the youth of the region to acquire employable Engineering &Technology education and skills. Vice Chancellor who is a renowned professional has shown his commitment to this end.
