Dr. Shaukat Ali is a dedicated academic and researcher with expertise in water resources management, Occupational Safety Health and Environment, Environmental Toxicology, climate change, and environmental sustainability. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the Ocean University of China (funded by the China Scholarship Council) and an M.Phil. from the University of Karachi (funded by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan). He is currently serving as an Associate Professor at Karakoram International University (KIU), Gilgit-Baltistan, Dr. Ali has been a key contributor to the institution since 2012. His leadership roles include: • Chairman, Department of Environmental Sciences (2022–2025) – Spearheaded curriculum development, research initiatives, and departmental growth. • Founder Section Editor, Journal of Mountain Area Research – Promoting high-impact research on mountain ecosystems. • Founder Chair, Climate Change Studies Program – Driving interdisciplinary research and policy engagement on climate resilience.
