Although, I had no dreams to become an Engineer or a Doctor but, was fortunate enough to join UET Peshawar and receive a Doctorate Degree in Engineering. Thanks to Higher Education Commission, Government of Pakistan to enable me to pursue a prestigious academic and research endeavor and get hold of the highest academic degree. Later, upon the completion of my PhD, I got the opportunity to serve as a faculty member and mentoring at UET Peshawar and KIU Gilgit.
Being a Mining engineer and associated with the academia, I believe there is a need to explore and utilize our indigenous mineral and human resources. I also believe that these naturally endowed potentials and resources can lead to the socio-economic development of Pakistan. There is a need to explore our indigenous prospects, identify the associated challenges, develop indigenous solutions to our problems and get on track to indigenous development.
Utilization and effective management of our indigenous resources will lead to Pakistan’s sustainable development.
